Why these exist
Most freight problems are information problems. A container misses its last free day because nobody flagged the date. An airport recovery is dispatched twice because the air waybill did not match. A delivery fails because the site had no dock and nobody said so.
None of that is exotic. It is the same handful of details, missing in the same places, over and over. These guides set out what those details are for the lanes we work most, so you can send them once and help reduce avoidable quote revisions.
Each guide ends with a checklist you can paste straight into an email. Reviewed by the Azzurro Operations Team and updated as practice changes.
Guides
Port Newark Drayage Quote Checklist
What a drayage provider needs to quote a Port Newark or Port Elizabeth container accurately: terminal and steamship line, container type, release status, last free day, chassis and weight, appointments, live unload versus drop-and-hook, and empty return. Published 8 October 2026.
JFK & EWR Cargo Recovery Checklist
What to send for a JFK or Newark airport pickup: airline and cargo handling facility, master and house air waybill, availability and release status, pieces and dimensions, written temperature requirements, facility access, and delivery conditions. Published 8 October 2026.
Where each guide leads
The drayage checklist pairs with our New York and New Jersey port drayage service, and with commercial final-mile and job-site delivery when the destination cannot take a container. The airport checklist pairs with JFK and EWR airport freight recovery, and with reefer box trucks and sprinter vans or NJ expedited courier depending on the size and temperature of the shipment.
For what we cover and where, see freight service areas.
These guides are general operational information, not customs, legal or regulatory advice. Terminal, airline, customs, carrier, access, equipment and scheduling requirements are confirmed per shipment and can change.
Azzurro Final Mile Logistics arranges transportation through qualified motor carriers and service providers.
