The largest container complex in the country

The San Pedro Bay ports move an enormous share of United States imports, and a great many of our customers have freight landing there even when their business is on the East Coast. Azzurro Final Mile Logistics coordinates container drayage at both the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach as a strong West Coast gateway alongside our primary market at the Port of New York and New Jersey.

Drayage is arranged through qualified motor carriers with dedicated access to local container capacity, coordinated by the same operations contact who handles your other lanes.

Transload and move inland

The most common request we get in this market is a transload: pull the container, strip it to 53-foot trailers, and move the freight east. We coordinate that through our nationwide truckload network, with dry van, refrigerated, expedited and team service depending on how fast the freight has to be there.

Equipment options

Container chassis for standard and refrigerated boxes, 53-foot dry van and refrigerated trailers for transloaded freight, and box trucks with liftgate for sites without a dock. Temperature requirements are coordinated according to the customer's handling instructions, with monitoring options confirmed per shipment.

Customers and cargo we serve

Freight forwarders, customs brokers, NVOCCs, importers, manufacturers, distributors and 3PLs. Commodities include retail and consumer goods, apparel, furniture and household goods, industrial and construction materials, foodstuffs, produce and perishables, and other temperature-sensitive freight.
